University Life in UAE l Campus Life Dubai l Top Universities l Amity University Dubai

All through my late teen era until this very moment where I'm in my mid-twenties, people have been asking me one particular thing. 'How is university life here in UAE?' To answer that question, I kinda had to go through thinking about presenting them a PPT presentation with bullet points to make them understand. Well, if I can't do a seminar I'm all in for a deep dive about it on my own blog.  PS: whatever I mention here is in my own personal experience (facts though) and note that I did both my bachelors and masters at Amity University Dubai.  1. Learning at my university, I didn't just learn. Well let's admit, and we all know, that academic learning can be quite monotonous often. But at my university, I seldom felt so. The campus is way spacious and too far from monotonous. Guess what, it has a HUGE library, computer labs, study areas, SILENT study zones, canteen, cafe, and what not. You can basically learn from anywhere in case you get bored or if you fee...

Accept or Don't Speak

Over 7 billion people on this planet. There can be 7 billion personalities as well. Who are we to say no to that? Just one in 7 billion! After these many diverse characters of people, we want the ones near us to be 'like this', 'like that', like the so-called 'pretty' and much more. We are way behind accepting people how they are. Most of us think that we should learn from our forefathers and foremothers. Yes, to some extent. But there are things we must unlearn. We must understand that all are unique in their own ways.

We call them thin, fat, pretty, ugly, not so pretty, not so ugly and all those unnecessary adjectives. Why are individuals obsessed over the idea that all humans must be this and that!!!!?? If all are the same, how can we recognize people? How can we spot people? Try to answer these questions before shaming yet another person. Each and every person is beautiful on this Earth in its own ways.

Now, you might wonder why I decided to write on this particular topic. That is simply because I cannot stop hearing and overhearing all these talks. I feel this as one of the worst things happening in our world that even causes serious effects like depression, anxiety and the other disorders associated with personality and body. This is too bad, friends. We must strive towards the betterment of our world and not towards a culture of shaming.

Extroverts and introverts are normal. Thin is normal, fat is normal. There is not even a need of saying this because of the very fact that THEY ARE NORMAL! But still I chose to say this because of the pathetic assessment system in this world. There's only one way out; learn, unlearn, repeat.

Stay a winner and thank you!

  3. Some people are experts in loose talking. They were labelled sadists.. They feel happy only when they feel others hearts get scratched with negative comments. Nobody like this is ashamed to start shaming even from the birth bed.
