1. The Turn of the Key by Ruth Ware
This little thriller gift ought to blow your mind by enticing words, classy atmosphere and mysterious frames. Every page, or rather, every word in this book is crafted very beautifully and in an elegant manner. If you scan your eyes across the pages, you will immediately find at least 5 pretty words at a glance. If you're looking for a book to be alert at every second of reading, The Turn of the Key is the right stack of papers for you. It's also good for new readers as the kind of language used here is simple to grasp. The very 'orange-ish' cover page sits attractive in any bookshelf. Special applause to the designer. Wish I could tag you here. Readers, please google the storyline if you please, I'm scared of unintentional spoilers :/
2. The Secret History by Donna Tartt
2. The Secret History by Donna Tartt
Oh my, my! I'm never going to stop talking about this book. I've reviewed this multiple times on multiple platforms but nothing seems to quench my thirst to talk about it. It's got a sweet cult-reader base. You GOT to be in the dark academia clan to enjoy this. Also, beware of 600+ pages. You are either going to love or hate this book. There is no middle line. Complex words, concepts, thought processes and miniature details but if you're down for visualizing a cosy and mysterious atmosphere, and want to picture the characters well, Donna Tartt's got your back. Richard, Camilla, Charles, Edmund, Henry and Francis. They are prettier than their names, I vouch. If you have survived this paragraph of mine, it would be clear to you that The Secret History is my favorite book.
(My sister is still confused why I love it so much)
3. 400 Days by Chetan Bhagat
Now this one is a different little savage cutie by Chetan Bhagat. 400 Days, in my opinion, stands very distinguished from Chetan Bhagat's other creations. For me, this novel had a soul, an extra bit of meaning and a refreshing theme. Ahh, Sharjah International Book Fair, I would never forget the 400 Days fever we all experienced back in... 2021? (if my memory is intact). This officially has gotten into my personal favorites from Indian writers. 400 Days has a cute cover page as well, something that captivates people to look at it. I mean, do not judge a book by its cover but can't stop myself from appreciating the stunning cover page. Even the book title is appealing, yeah?
Now as we wrap up the list, you might be wondering why this woman wrote about 3 random books. Yes, it's just 3 but they, my people, are the 3 that are worthy to get clubbed together. Yes, and many friends of mine have asked me book recommendations and the genre requests showed that people love thriller books. Therefore, my friends, If you need your eyes fixed on ink, body unmoved and mind clenched tight, read these.
Will come back with a lot of suggestions, I promise. Bye for now.
